Yarelis is the youngest mother among the women who stayed all five days. She is married, has four daughters and a pet fish, and lives in a large city in Texas. Her hobbies are her children: we like to walk around the neighborhood ride bikes bake together. Her five words for herself are Loyal, forgiven, kind, loving, caring, and she knows where they came from: My parents were always caring towards everyone and so thankful for everything they have. That's what I grew up with that's what I saw and makes me want to be like them.

Her lifeline turns on one loss. She names three defining moments, finishing school, marrying and having a baby, and losing her father, and the third is the one she cannot leave: The loss of my father impacted me so much , he was our everything loosing him felt as if I oss a part of me. Before he died, she watched his body fail: He was very sick going to doctors everyday for something different, always in dialysis. Asked about him, the memories came all at once, ending: I can go on and on forever with memories. One reading is that her conviction about food on Day 1, that eating badly will eventually catch up to you, was learned at her father's side.

Food, for her, comes from her mother and her grandmother, who cooked all the time. She learned Mexican plates like enchiladas, tostadas, frijoles, flautas, tortillas de harina everything. Asked to name her food, she answers in four words: Mexican food is my food. She does all the shopping and all the cooking, and she keeps learning from short recipe videos online. Her mother, who learned healthy cooking while caring for her father, is the one she asks for advice.

I am Strong, I can do so many things at the same time , I'm here I'm there I'm listening to everything

Yarelis, Day 4

She is clear about where she stands on going vegan: I just can't let go of chicken and meats. Their so delicious and so many foods to eat it with. But the healthy event she imagines is generous: a do-it-yourself salad buffet, oatmeal cookies, waters to drink no sodas. In her healthy ad, a favorite funny actor puts down the spicy chips and eats a Caesar salad, Still funny character. Is different because now is something healthy. Health, in her imagination, does not have to give up the joke.

Her superpower is the mother's multitasking: I am Strong, I can do so many things at the same time , I'm here I'm there I'm listening to everything. Her weakness is grief: Lossing someone that's the hardest. I can't help but cry when it gets to hard. The person she admires is her mother, Soo strong for us when her father died, and the lesson she took is one she now lives: no matter how hard life gets you have to keep moving forward for your kids. She jogs to unwind. Whether she is bored, sad or angry, the craving is the same: pizza, chips, junk food. Her 2 a.m. people are her mother and her husband: They know how to calm me down.

On Day 5 her goal is specific: I would like to change the chips. That's my weakness I believe. She knows her old pattern by heart, I'm going to do it one day, then I never started, and names what stands in the way: Me my self. What would help is motivation. Her letter to her future self is short and kind: I'm proud of you for putting your mind to it . Is always good to believe in yourself you are beautiful you are worth it.
